Applicants should be teachers or trainers involved in the lifelong learning sector; plus at least a level 3 qualification in their vocational area, together with a level 2 qualification in English and a level 1 in mathematics.

Course provides teachers with skills, knowledge and competence to undertake professional role in the post-16 sector; applicants with a degree in the subject to be taught follow the PGCE pathway and those with a level 3 qualification follow the Cert. Ed pathway; students are expected to arrange 80 hours of teaching for each year of the course.
