The aim is to develop students ability to engage in contemporary life with the creative skills necessary to succeed in their chosen career; the course sets itself firmly within the framework of art history, culture and critical personal enquiry; students are taught during the first semester methods and materials that synthesises creative experimentation and media exploration; traditional painting and drawing techniques is taught and developed alongside contemporary digital methodology; students are expected by year 3 to have developed a clear vision of their future after graduation and have acquired the creative and intellectual skills necessary to negotiate a pathway into employment or professional practice.
