Вступительные требования

3 GCSEs at grades C or above or their equivalent (as verified through the TDA), including mathematics and English required; a degree in a relevant subject; (nationally recognised from a validated HEI or validated by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority [QCA] or UK National Recognition Information Centre); experience of working with young people in contemporary UK educational settings and a firm commitment to teaching; foreign nationals: IELTS qualification (overall band score of 6.5, and a minimum score of 6.5 in listening, 6.5 in academic reading, 6.0 in academic writing and 6.0 in speaking); admission is subject to a certificate of medical fitness and satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau disclosure.

The course comprises study of media teaching and learning, and professional studies, alongside school placements; students undertake media work both at Central and in schools and colleges; during term 1 students are introduced to a range of educational and media-specific strategies and issues; they go on to apply this understanding while on placement at 2 different kinds of school or college over the duration of the course; during the placements students are supported by an experienced mentor who works closely with the Central-based link tutor; towards the end of the course students benefit from Central's international network of contacts in education in planning the next stage of their career.
