Starting a master in Microengineering at EPFL is choosing to discover the world of microrobotics, nanosystems and photonics. This also juggling with electronics, mechanics, material sciences, chemistry, informatics and optics to imagine, conceive and design new devices and new micro/nano products. The master cycle lasts 3 semesters. It comprises : . one bloc of compulsory courses, 11 ECTS . two semester projects, to be chosen within the propositions list, 24 ECTS . one bloc of optional courses specific to each orientation, 19 ECTS . two SHS - Social and Human Sciences projects, 6 ECTS . the 4 months master project in a research institue or in industry, to be chosen among the list of proposals, 30 ECTS . in addition, an internship in a company (minimum ttwo months) has to be done at the end of the cycle and before the final project The master syllabus contains the complete list of courses offered in the program.
