Вступительные требования

Students with an accredited five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree are eligible for the 1 year programme. Applicants to the 2-year Master’s Program must have a B.S in Architecture (or equivalent). If you have an undergraduate degree other than that, you should check with the School of Architecture to determine the correct program. Applicants to the M.Arch 3 program must have taken one semester of college-level physics and one semester of college-level calculus. Students who enter into the program without physics and calculus have one year from the date of matriculation to complete and pass these courses, which can be taken outside Northeastern. Portfolio for the 1 and 2 year programmes. Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. A GPA of at least a B (3.0) is preferred. We expect a minimum score of 100 on the Internet-Based TOEFL (IBT), 250 on the Computer-Based TOEFL (CBT), or 600 on the Paper-Based TOEFL (PBT). We expect a minimum overall band score of 7.0 on the IELTS.

The physical and cultural context of Boston serves as a laboratory for the program’s design studios and is design-focused, but with a different approach than many schools. We find opportunities for innovation within the real estate and construction industries and current policy debates – rather than outside of them. This is how we intend to move architects to the center of the discussion about the future of our cities. Students take courses in urban housing, practice integrated design and do original research on market-driven building types. The final degree project in the design studio offers an opportunity to leverage this research with real innovations in hybrid types, strategic alterations to existing ones, and to take on the challenge of finding prototypical solutions for systemic problems.
