Honours degree at 2:2 or above or equivalent normally required or employment experience regarded as equivalent; candidates required to write a 1000-1200 word proposal and attend an interview; fluency in English.

Investigates dialogues between theory and practice with reference to textile culture; students encouraged to identify and challenge their position within textile culture and to address issues with reference to professional contexts of production; it is fundamental to this pathway that students are cognisant of a broad spectrum of debates within visual and material cultural practices and that they are able to relate these to their own practices within textile culture; students encouraged to view theory and practice in textile culture as operating in diverse situations which demonstrate the interdisciplinary and collaborative energies of textile culture; the locating of the students' practice is be considered in relation to individual, local and global contexts.
