Вступительные требования

Admission to the M.C.A.A.M. program is open to qualified students holding bachelor's degrees (or their equivalent) in engineering, mathematics, or the physical, biological, mathematical sciences. In general, applicants should have at least a 3.00 (B) grade point average, or the equivalent, in undergraduate work. Applicants who are foreign nationals or whose native language is not English must take either the TOEFL or IELTS test and must score at least 90 on the iBT TOEFL or at least 600 on the paper-based TOEFL. For those students who choose to take the IELTS in lieu of TOEFL, the minimum score is 7.

Расположение

Houston has two airports: William P. Hobby (HOU), 11 miles to the south of campus and George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), 24 miles to the north. Intercontinental is a hub of global travel. Hobby is a hub for regional, domestic travel. Together they offer 1,000 flights a day in and out of Houston.


Most major rental car companies have locations at both airports. SuperShuttle and taxis provide ground transportation services from both airports.


The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, (METRO) provides bus and rail service from destinations around Houston. There is a METRORail stop across the street from the main entrance of the Rice campus. The rail line travels up and down Main Street, serving downtown, the Texas Medical Center and Reliant Park.
