Professional practice in counselling; counselling theory; counselling skill and personal development; counselling settings/diversity of practice; conceptual issues in counselling; finding a voice - professional challenge and personal resiliency; research dissertation. All students undertake two clinical placements comprising a total of 100 hours of face-to-face client work.
Вступительные требования
Normally good Honours degree or relevant professional qualification; at least 6 months prior work experience involving use of counselling skills; and completion of minimum 120 hours of introductory training/study of counselling skills, theory and professional issues; all applicants interviewed.
All applicants for counselling courses must satisfy a Disclosure Scotland check or equivalent

Course members are part of a supportive learning community in which they are encouraged to engage with the significant challenges involved in therapeutic work with individuals whose lives have been visited by fear, hopelessness and meaninglessness.
