Good Honours degree or equivalent in engineering or science discipline, social sciences, business or management studies; alternative qualifications and/or work experience considered on individual basis; sound mathematics base, evidence normally required at Standard grade or equivalent or other qualification/ certificate of suitable standing; specific qualifications or experience may gain exemption through Accreditation of Prior Learning/ Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APL/APEL) procedure.

Emphasis is given to the practical application of environmental management within industry and commerce, in addition to the appropriate theoretical rigour; whilst allowing students an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and understanding of environmental management and policy, for the purpose of developing sustainable best practice in a range of organisations; and on completion of the taught component of the programme, students may undertake research projects in industrial environmental management; environmental law and policy; developing green markets; environmental entrepreneurship.
