The degree programme includes activities designed to develop:
- a basic grasp of algebra, geometry, differential and integral calculus;
- basic knowledge of classical physics, theoretical physics, quantum physics and the mathematical bases thereof;
- the rudiments of chemistry; aspects of modern physics concerning, for example, nuclear and sub-nuclear physics, and the structure of matter;
- learning activities in the various subjects of the programme, laboratory work yielding a considerable number of credits and especially slanted towards understanding experimental methods, measurements and data processing.
