Students undertake negotiated creative design assignments and supervised project work; they are given the freedom to direct their individual interests, skills and creativity towards solving conceptually challenging and, in most cases, multidisciplinary assignments.

2.1 or 1st Class Honours degree, or equivalent; applications are welcome from people without the standard qualifications if they can demonstrate the skills and capacity necessary for academic study at postgraduate level; portfolio of evidence displaying potential to work at postgraduate level.

Programme develops and extends students' expertise in research and creativity in graphic design practice; combines theory and practice, and develops students' capability for innovative thinking, cultural understanding and dynamic practice; develops critical and analytical skills as well as encouraging students to develop an innovative and rigorous approach to their own creative practice.
