This programme enables students to: design, develop and create interactive multimedia games on a variety of platforms; produce 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional animations; manage the creation of interactive games; design and deliver multimedia content such as audio and video for multiple platforms (including the web); program and design in various commercial software environments; use principles of design and analysis to ensure their work is of the highest standard; communicate effectively with business, computing and design professionals. Year 1: Typical modules: Multimedia production 1; multimedia games design and development 1; computer programming 1; concepts of animation. Year 2: typical modules: multimedia production 2; multimedia games design and development 2; 3-dimensional animation; visual programming Year 3: optional sandwich year (work placement). Final Year: typical modules: individual project; multimedia games design and development 3; plus options.
