Radboud University Nijmegen

Radboud University Nijmegen is a public student-oriented university with a strong focus on research.

It was established in 1923 and is situated in one of the oldest city of the Netherlands. Its teaching is geared to students who are active participants in the academic community of the university. Social interaction and international environment are distinctive features of Radboud University. 

The university believes in creating an environment and atmosphere where everyone is free to work, interact and share – especially sharing knowledge across the boundaries between disciplines that result in new and surprising insights that lead to further scientific developments. 

Known for its green campus in the oldest city of the Netherlands, Radboud University enrols over 21,000 students for more than 120 programmes across its seven faculties: Philosophy, Theology & Religious Studies; Arts; Law; Social Sciences; Nijmegen School of Management; Science; Medical Sciences.

In 2016, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings put the university in 125th place worldwide. Among notable alumni are former prime ministers, Nobel prize-winners and CEOs of international companies.

All English-taught Master’s programmes are research-based programmes. They are taught within the Faculties of Arts, Law, Social Sciences, Medical Sciences, Sciences and Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies, besides the Interfaculty Research School and the Nijmegen School of Management. In general, the university offers over 250 English-taught courses for exchange students.
