The main Clemson campus is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains surrounded by a lake and its own forest. There are numerous departments and groups on campus that offer services for the University’s faculty, staff and students. Ranging from essential business services to services that enhance campus life, all help support the living, learning and working environment at Clemson. Its facilities include:

• 27 residence halls and on-campus apartments
• 400+ Wi-Fi spots
• Sports and wellness center
• Student housing

The university offers a wide recreation system:

• 400+ student clubs and organizations
• 50+ club sports
• 6 student-run media organizations
• 17 intramural sports
• 275,000-square-foot Fike Recreation Center
• 18 holes of golf

Students who are fond of outdoor activities will never be bored. Campus is right on the lake and there's tons of forest in the area. Be prepared to have to drive to get to the best trails, though. There isn't much in the way of city life near campus, but Greenville is 30 minutes away and it's a great place to visit on weekends. Clemson has events almost every week, and sometimes concerts on campus. Students get discounted tickets too.

The university's fraternities and sororities system (or Greek system) is somewhat different from other large universities in the southern U.S. in that there are no Greek houses on campus. 

All freshmen who are under the age of 21 at the time of enrollment who do not live with parent(s) are required to live in University-owned housing for the fall and spring semesters.  

Students’ housing facilities include: coed housing, men's housing, women's housing, apartments for married students, apartments for single students, fraternity/sorority housing, special housing for disabled students, wellness housing (alcohol/drug/smoke-free), theme housing.

The Center for Career and Professional Development of Clemson was created to manage and facilitate our extensive on-campus internship and cooperative education program. The career center offers many unique services, such as career workshops, on-campus interviewing, experiential education opportunities (co-op program and internship programs), and others. 

About 87% of the class of 2016 participated in counseling or workshops during their time at Clemson.
