There are 8 Student Residences, one of which is on Campus (Corrib Village). All others are within easy reach of the University. All student residences are privately managed but the NUI Galway Accommodation Office provides help and advice to students searching for a room.
Student residences begin taking bookings in February for the following academic year. Housing has kitchens available for student use.
Career Development Centre aims to provide students of NUI Galway with a quality career guidance and information service focused on facilitating and empowering students to manage their own career development and make effective career transitions.
The organization holds a large number of events each semester and has many graduate employers on campus. Students and recent graduates can use Careers Connect to view events, job, internship and funding opportunities and to book an appointment with one of its team.

The No.4 bus from Galway center serves the university at frequent intervals throughout the day. Galway has a well-serviced train station and is just 2.5 hours from Dublin.
Galway is a short one-hour drive from Shannon Airport, Ireland’s third busiest airport. Shannon Airport operates regular flights to and from the UK, Europe and the USA.
