Villanova University’s picturesque 260-acre campus is located on Philadelphia’s famed Main Line, just 12 miles west of Center City Philadelphia. The campus has roughly 1,500 trees, including the only known instance of a naturally growing sequoia east of the Mississippi River.
Main Campus contains most of the educational buildings, administration buildings, Student Center, Library, Bookstore, the Villanova Chapel, the main cafeteria and a variety of coffee shops and eateries, the Athletic Center, the Pavilion, Villanova Stadium, and many sophomore student residences.
A variety of collegiate recreational and athletic facilities are accessible for guests in several campus locations. Use of swimming pools, playing fields, and gymnasiums must be scheduled for group reservation and use through the Office of Conference Services and availability varies.
Campus pulses with the activities of more than 260 student organizations. From theatrical performances and service experiences to honor societies and multicultural offerings, groups and events organized and led by students enrich Villanova’s living and learning environment. Villanova students participate in charitable and philanthropic activities and organizations, including the largest student-run Special Olympics in the world.
A thriving Greek community at Villanova encompasses about two dozen fraternities and sororities. Athletics are also important, and the Villanova Wildcats – known for their successful men's basketball program.
Every week a different movie plays at the Villanova Cinema. There are shuttles to the King of Prussia Mall every Friday and Saturday. Every Saturday there are off campus shuttles to the surrounding areas.
There are two train stations on campus which can take students to any location on the main line. The university also has events every week which give students numerous enjoyable activities for fun.
Incoming freshmen are guaranteed housing for their first three years in any of the 18 residence halls or eight apartment-style buildings. Buildings range in size from 30 to 540 residents. Rooms also vary in size and configuration.
Housing facilities include Coed housing, men's housing, women's housing, apartments for single students, special housing for disabled students, wellness housing (alcohol/drug/smoke-free), theme housing.
The Villanova Career Center offers comprehensive career development and job search resources to students and alumni of the university, as well as a suite of services to employers who hire Villanovans.
Its mission is to provide the highest quality, comprehensive career services, empowering members of the Villanova University community to choose and attain personally rewarding careers. The organization serves that mission in a variety of ways:
