Any student can actively participate in any of clubs and organizations: musical groups, performance arts, journalism and publication of independent student newspaper or non-commercial radio station. Besides, Maryland athletic teams are very strong and include 20 men's and women's sports like basketball, football, lacrosse, hockey and others. There is also an indoor and outdoor pool, as well as "Terp Zone" which includes: Bowing, playing pool, and playing video games.
